Dubai Power and Water Authority (DEWA) has has issued the Initial Commercial Operation certificatet to ACWA Power for the 2nd phase of the Noor Energy 1 independent power project.

With 200 extra megawatts (MW), the absolute functional limit of the task, situated in the fourth period of the Mohammed container Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in the UAE, presently remains at 717 MW.

ACWA Power, holding a 25% stake in Noor Energy 1, expects a positive monetary effect from the joint endeavor beginning in Q1 2024.

The Noor Energy project is a key component of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in the UAE, contributing to the region’s renewable energy goals.
